Slime Rancher is a first personlife simulationadventure video game developed and published by American indie studio Monomi Park.[1] The game was released as an early access title in January 2016, with an official release on Windows, macOS, Linux and Xbox One on August 1, 2017.[2] A PlayStation 4 version was released on August 21, 2018.
The gold gordo is just for show. It is more of a control able gold slime compared to go out and hunt for gold slime. I've caught 1 and just dress it for fun. It looks so cute with shades along its bling-like body. There are 2 ways to rid a gordo. 1 pop it, 2 yank the snare off. Jan 09, 2020 The Party Gordo Party Gordos are gordo slimes that appear somewhere on the Far, Far, Range every Friday and stay until Monday. During this weekend period, you can also find slime ornaments, which are small orbs with the face of a slime on them.Gameplay[edit]In-game screenshot showing the VacPack nozzle, a few 'Pink' slimes, and a 'plort' (lower-left)
The game is played in an open world and from a first-person perspective. The player controls a character named Beatrix LeBeau, a rancher who moves to a planet far from Earth called the Far Far Range to live the life of a 'slime rancher', which consists of constructing her ranch and exploring the world of the Far Far Range in order to collect, raise, feed, and breed slimes. Slimes are gelatinous living organisms of various sizes and characteristics.[3][4][5][6]
The game's main economical aspect revolves around feeding slimes the appropriate food items so that they produce 'plorts', which can then be sold in exchange for Newbucks, which are used to purchase upgrades to the rancher's equipment or farm buildings. The player moves the character around a variety of environments, and can collect slimes, food items and plorts by sucking them up with their vacuum tool (called a 'Vacpack', a portmanteau of vacuum and backpack). They can only store a limited number of items and item types at a time and must go back to their ranch to unload their collected items before being able to collect more. The player must buy and upgrade various enclosures to house their collected slimes and farms for storing their food. Upgrades can also be aesthetic upgrades to the character's home, vacuum, and ranch itself.
Different types of slimes can be combined and enlarged by feeding a slime a plort from another species, making them noticeably larger and able to produce multiple plorts.[7][8][9] However, if a slime combines more than three traits by eating two different plorts it becomes an aggressive malevolent black slime called the 'Tarr', which devours all other slimes around it. The player can pump fresh water from ponds and springs to splash and disintegrate the Tarrs.
There are different kinds of slimes in the game, which all differ from small traits like simple ears, wings and tails, to the ability to teleport or grab a chicken via a vine that emerges from the ground.Docile (when not feral) and farmable slimes include: Pink, Phosphor, Tabby, Quantum, Honey, Puddle, Tangle, Saber, Hunter and Dervish. Directly or indirectly harmful and farmable slimes are: Rock, Fire, Boom, Crystal, Mosaic and Rad.Rare non-farmable slimes include: Gold and Lucky. There are also special non-farmable Quicksilver and Glitch slimes found in mini games. Most slimes also have a Gordo version of themselves. These are found across the Far Far Range. Players can shoot food items at them until they explode, to gain farmable, normal types of the slime. When exploded they also produce crates containing random loot as well as either a teleporter or 'slime key' which allow access to new areas or fast-travel between known areas.Reception[edit]Slime Rancher Early AccessReview scoresPublicationScoreLevelSkip[10]Games Mojo[11]TD Game Club75/100[12]Keen Gamer83/100[13]Slime RancherAggregate scoreAggregatorScoreMetacriticPC: 81/100[14]

The Early Access version of the Slime Rancher received generally positive reviews. Heather Alexandra from Kotaku noticed some bugs, but gave the game a positive review, saying that 'I'm not usually a fan of games with catharsis but when I return to my bright and goofy farm at the end of the day? I can't help but smile as wide as my slimy little friends.' [sic][8] Phillip Grobler from LevelSkip enjoyed Slime Rancher, giving the game a score of 4.3 out of 5 stars: 'this game is very fun already and I will recommend anyone to go and check it out'.[10] R2v. Steve Neilsen from Games Mojo awarded it 4.4 out of 5 stars, stating that 'Slime Rancher is fun and addictive game, with a fun premise and cute creatures. The cartoon style graphics look amazing, and gameplay is clever and full of cute.'[11]
The full release of the game got a score of 81/100 on Metacritic,[14] with reviewers saying it had the ability to keep you hooked for hours.[18] Reviewers also said it was relaxing and cathartic, but quite repetitive,[17] and successfully taps into the addictive nature of farming simulators.[20]
By May 2017, the game had sold over 800,000 copies.[21] By February 28, 2019, the game had sold 2 million copies.[22].
In Game Informer's Reader's Choice Best of 2017 Awards, the game tied in third place along with Forza Motorsport 7 for 'Best Microsoft Game', while it came in second place for 'Best Simulation Game'.[23][24] The website also gave it the award for the latter category in their Best of 2017 Awards.[25]
Huey lewis and the news greatest hits rarities. The video was Scott’s idea, and although ordinarily I’d want to be very involved, after working with him, I felt very comfortable leaving it all in his hands. Fortunately he agreed, and for the next few years, he worked on the film, and we edited the song. July 24, 2020 – Written and directed by Scott Sava, this Sega-inspired music video was released today as a Variety exclusive.Huey Lewis says, “When I was first approached by Scott and his team, I was impressed with the script, cast, and the art — he hadn’t animated it yet, but had beautiful renditions of the characters and sets — and felt that ‘While We’re Young’ would be perfect for the film. COVID- 19 dictated that anyway.Accolades[edit]Award nominations for Slime RancerYearAwardCategoryResult2017Golden Joystick Awards[26]Best Indie GameNominatedXbox Game of the YearNominatedThe Game Awards 2017[27]Best Debut Indie GameNominated2018National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers Awards[28][29]Game, Original ActionNominatedGame, SimulationNominated14th British Academy Games Awards[30][31]Debut GameNominatedReferences[edit]

Slimes are the little gelatinous alien balls that live in the Far, Far Range. There are several different species, and each has unique traits used to identify them. They do not despawn and respawn in certain areas. They can either be categorized by their diet, general behavior towards the rancher, or their location. You will find a short summary of each slime on this site. Visit the main articles linked for a more in-depth description with gameplay tips. To see more info about the plorts of slimes, click here.
*1Kinds of slimesKinds of slimes[edit | edit source]Slimes[edit | edit source]
These guys are called slimes. Each one is different in its own way like, Phosphor Slimes can slightly fly or glide, honey slimes have tasty plorts that attract slimes faster than any other plort would, the rock slime can produce damage if you get too close, the boom slime explodes, the rad slime has a radiation aura surrounding it and if you go in, you get damage, dervish slime can make big tornadoes, Tangle slime can push vines out of the ground and try to get any plorts or food with the vines, the mosaic slime can attract slimes and also can set anything on FIRE, quantum slime can make 'ghost' versions of itself and teleport to that clone, puddle slimes are known to be shy, tabby slimes are the cutest, hunter slimes can be almost entirely invisible, Chrystal slimes push crystals out of the ground and if you step on them, you deal damage, The fire slime is REALLY on FIRE, and last but not least, the pink slime is the first cutie you see and the most seen in the whole game it is entirely impossible to go to a single place without a single pink slime. The Meteor Slime was originally going to be added in the 0.6.0 update. It would’ve rained down from the sky in a ball of fire, and was sort of like an “inverse Boom Slime”. However, they thought it wouldn’t make much sense, so they scrapped it and replaced it with either the Dervish Slime or the Fire Slime. In an interview with Nick Popcovitch on rockpapershotgun, you can see some failed Meteor Slime designs. One is purple with a bright yellow star on it, one was just a rock, and the last one was a brown Slime with rock around its face (that design is my favorite). The Meteor Slime may return in a future update.Leepsung Slime[edit | edit source]
The Leepsung Slime has not even been mentioned. But in the code there is a diet for a “Leepsung Slime”. It remains a mystery.Where Are The Gordo Slimes
Arachnid Slime[edit | edit source]
On Chris Lum’s Twitter profile picture, there is a slime design that has a lot of bright, bulging red eyes, and what looks like ears or fangs. It is unknown if this Slime will make an appearance in-game.Felyne Slime[edit | edit source]
On Twitter, Victoria Joh made a design for a “Felyne Slime” (tweet by Kara Holmes). It might just seem like a joke, but Nick Pipcovich retweeted it, so maybe?Quicksilver Slime[edit | edit source]
The Quicksilver Slime was added in the 1.2.0 Mochi’s Megabucks Update. A load is currently known about this Slime. People are uploading Quicksilver Slime pictures at a slow rate. Also, there was an alpha model test for the Slime in the 1.1.0 gamefiles. It wasn’t a lot though. It was just a Fire Slime that does not produce fire but produces grey plorts with shocks in it and moves very fast.Special[edit | edit source]Tabby Gordo
The Tarr, Largo Slimes, Feral Slimes and Gordo Slimes are considered 'Special Slimes'. The reason behind that is because they aren't really like your normal slimes like the Pink slime and Tabby Slime. The only things they all have in common is they are based on food, like the Tarr would eat everything in its path except veggies, fruit, backdrop decor, and water, Largo slime have bigger appetites, Feral slimes are mean until fed, and gordo slimes need to be fed a certain amount to food to burst loot and it's slimes. Another thing that they all have in common is that none of them can go in your vac pack unless you use certain mods that will allow you to suck up gordo slimes, tarrs, largos, and feral slimes. The TarrLargo SlimesFeral SlimesGordo SlimesSee also[edit | edit source]
